Freelance Commercial Pilot

Fly a spitfire.com is seeking applications for Freelance Commercial Pilots to fly a PA32R Saratoga, A to A, day VFR flights, from various Airfields in the UK.  The aircraft operates sightseeing and Formation Passenger flight experiences with Warbird aircraft.

The position is predominantly for the 2026 flying season between the period of Mar 2026 to Nov 2026, but sapce is available for this year  August – October 2025  . For suitable applicant there is possibility of a full-time position and earlier start date.

The nature of the operation requires flexible hours including most weekends. The selected candidate(s) will be employed on a self-employed basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

UK Part-FCL CPL (No IR Required) with a valid SEP Class Rating and Class 1 medical (single pilot).

Full training is provided to successful applicants; VP, retractable, turbocharger, Formation experience preferred but not essential.

Aircraft are operated on a UK AOC. Pilots must be able to comply with company FDP/FTL scheme.

DESIRED QUALITIES:

The successful candidate will need to be self-disciplined and enthusiastic about general aviation, as well as being resourceful. The position is customer facing. Applicants will need to be personable, and energetic and sales experience will be an advantage.

In addition to the flying requirements, Pilots will be required to complete all administration IAW company SOP’s and regulations as well as assisting with the daily operational requirements.
