SPITFIRE FACTORY TOURS

Spitfire Hangar Tour

So much more than a Spitfire Museum. See the inner workings of the largest Spitfire restoration facility in the World.

Based at the Spitfire Heritage Hangar at RAF Biggin Hill, possibly the most famous fighter station, you’ll be walking in the footsteps of the young pilots who scrambled to intercept enemy aircraft and the ground crews who battled to keep the aircraft functioning, armed and fuelled. Stories explaining the history of Biggin Hill and the many squadrons that called it home will be told against the backdrop of a living Spitfire museum where the meticulous work of returning a 1940’s Spitfire to flying condition can be seen.

As seen on the Channel 4 Series ‘Inside the Spitfire Factory’
