35 minute ‘Leeds Castle’ Spitfire Flight Experience
Discover history on this Leeds Castle Spitfire flight! Take off from the Spitfire Factory at Biggin Hill and fly to Leeds Castle, home to six different medieval queens and often described as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’ you’ll have a majestic view of the castle and gardens as you fly overhead in one of our Spitfires – the loveliest aircraft in the world!
During WWII the castle was used as a convalescent home for recovering pilots, the famous ‘Guinea Pig Club’ so what better tribute to these brave airmen and the pioneering work of Sir Archibald McIndoe than a flypast in a Spitfire.
On your route you may also catch sight of Allington Castle, Lullingstone Castle, Eynsford Castle and the 15th Century, grade 1 listed Knole House and deer park. The more modern London skyline will also be visible as you depart and return to Biggin Hill.
You’ll have the opportunity to take the controls under the guidance of one of our Spitfire pilots so you can answer the question of ‘Can you fly over Leeds Castle in a Spitfire?’
